The Yves Landry Foundation was founded in 1998 and is based on the vision, principles and hopes of the late Yves Landry, Chairman, President and CEO of Chrysler Canada Ltd. from 1990 to 1998.
The Foundation provides the opportunity for business, education, and government to collectively be part of the solution to advance technological education and skills training in order to resolve the skilled labour shortages facing Canadian industries.
Who Was Yves Landry?
In 1938, Yves Landry was born in Thetford Mines, Quebec. Educated at Laval, Queens and Columbia Universities, he went on to become Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Chrysler Canada Ltd. in 1990. He was awarded many honorary degrees (Universities of Ottawa, Windsor, McGill, and Laval) and was invested as an Officer of The Order of Canada on May 14, 1995.
